RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform, document, and coordinate structural analysis of facade systems
- Interpret building codes and project/design/construction specifications
- Conduct detailed engineering computations and structural facade analysis
- Conduct peer reviews of architectural designs and condition assessments, including order of magnitude cost estimating
- Assist owners and architects in reducing construction costs by proposing more cost-effective execution methods for their designs
- Analyze façade performance using specialized software, encompassing loading, thermal analysis, condensation risk, and geometry
- Produce comprehensive project documents, encompassing drawings, specifications, and calculation packages in English
- Manage and mentor other members of the design team. Provide support, coaching, and share knowledge with team members
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture. A Master’s degree will be considered as strong advantage
- Proven track record with a completed façade portfolio showcasing medium to large-scale public and commercial projects, such as High Rises, Hospitals, Municipal etc.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment
- Strong knowledge of statics, structural systems and strength of materials
- Knowledge of relevant standards and codes for façades and services with strong knowledge of UK standards
- A proficient understanding and hands-on experience in facade and structural finite element software, such as Mepla and Dlubal RFEM.
- Proficiency in structural 3D design software and mastery in at least one programming language for software development
- Proficiency in producing and reviewing calculations for various facade elements, coupled with the ability to draft comprehensive documentation at different project stages
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in both manual and software-assisted calculation and analysis, or the ability to quickly acquire such proficiency
- Efficient project collaboration capabilities, demonstrating the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Exceptional organizational skills for handling multiple project assignments concurrently
- Proactive decision-making ability, with a knack for taking initiative
- Aptitude for building trust and establishing productive working relationships with counterparts in various disciplines, whether co-located or working from different offices
- Effective communication skills across technical writing, emails, and verbal interactions.
