It has been 25 years since the UPB group established the facade business line. It all started in a garage, where the first order was carried out - plastic windows and doors for a small car service. Nowadays the facade solution production area is 12,000 m2 and the production volume has also increased significantly.
At the beginning, initial business operations took place within Latvia, but from 2005 the company started to export to other countries as well, including Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Lithuania, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland and the United Kingdom. All of this resulted in a substantial increase in turnover – starting with 10,000 euros in 1994, and reaching 40 million euros of predicted turnover in 2019.
One of the most important milestones during the existence of this business line is the project of 2002 - the administrative building of LMT in Latvia, due to which the production of aluminium-glass products was expanded. Another significant turning point was in 2014 - the shopping centre Terminalbygget Aker Brygge in Oslo, Norway, was the first major element facade project, which opened up new opportunities for growth.
Employees have always been an important part of the company. We can be proud of more than 230 professional employees who specialise in glass and facade production and develop individually and professionally together with the company, creating new added value in their work and for the company as well.
We are proud of our wide range portfolio of objects, including high-rise buildings, multi-storey office and residential buildings, public buildings, educational institutions and many other impressive, complex projects, which makes us strive for even more.
