UPB delivers concrete and steel structures for Qvarteret project in Oslo

UPB has signed a contract with AF Gruppen for the rehabilitation project “Qvarteret” in Oslo, Norway. The project involves converting the existing premises into modern office spaces.

Our engineers have to focus on integrating new structures with the existing building framework, developing detailed connection nodes and structural solutions to ensure functionality, durability, and long-term performance.

A key architectural feature of the project is the central atrium, where curved, wave-shaped continuous beams will define the building’s character and spatial identity.

Qvarteret will accommodate a diverse range of retail and dining concepts at street level, while the upper floors will provide premium office spaces for companies seeking an attractive and dynamic working environment. The project is planned to achieve BREEAM Very Good certification, with a strong emphasis on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and maximizing the reuse of existing materials.

UPB’s scope includes concrete and steel structures for the new floors, as well as the reconstruction and adaptation of the existing premises.
