On 17 April, the Chairman of the Board Mr Dainis Berzins and Member of the Board Mr Ugis Grinbergs represented the Holding in the final stage of the prestigious European Business Awards in London.
UPB has been nominated among the 10 best export companies in Europe and received the Ruban dHonneur award in category Import/Export. During the final stage, company representatives had to give a presentation to a jury, which will evaluate all the 10 best companies in the category and will choose only one that will receive the Grand Prix. Next to UPB, this year’s Import/Export category includes also companies representing such fields as pharmacy, manufacturing, trade, textile industry, mechanical engineering, IT, and others.
The jury consists of large enterprise managers from Turkey and Italy, as well as representatives from the UK and Ireland’s international trade organisations.
Winners of the European Business Awards categories will be announced on 26 May.
