Office buildings Carlsberg office Copenhagen , Denmark
UPB built the facade for the new Carlsberg Group head office in Copenhagen, Denmark. The total area of the four storey building is 15 500 m2 with underground parking in an area of 7 700 m2.
The impressive element facade consists of large triple glazed units with integrated electric blinds, ALU profile system that allows insulated glass units to be glazed and de-glazed both from the inside and the outside. The facade of the building is made of copper-composite vertical and horizontal lamellas, perforated copper sheets with more than 200 000 hops leaves from Carlsberg logo on insulated glass units and on copper sheets. Approximately 70 t of copper was used in facade finishing materials, approximately 50% of which is recycled materials.
Copper is a material that strongly alters color and hue over time and goes from a classic reddish-brown copper color to a deep red color, and in the long term to a bright greut color. The materials used and execution of the work both fits the Copenhagen architecture and highlights the building amongst others.
