The first geothermal water-gas co-generation plant in the world is provided by UPB Energy

In Drašković, Croatia, the geothermal water processing project R300 that lasted a year has been completed successfully. The goal of the project was to find solutions to use the gas dissolved in geothermal waters to produce electricity. Within the framework of this project UPB Energy provided an customized co-generation plant that is able to generate electricity from the gas that is separated from water. This was the first experiment of this kind in the world.

Thanks to the successful project results, negotiation with UPB Energy has been commenced on construction of an innovative power plant in the said region.
