Medicon - a factory made brick-faced facade

Medicon is an office centre in the Sweden (city of Lund). UPB has completed the installation of the unitised facade. The project's facade is special because it is realised with unitised panels, which are factory-finished with decorative brick lining. The main purpose of the client and architect was to make the building architecturally "fresh", but at the same time included in the surrounding building ensemble.
The advantage of the unitised facade product is that there is a shorter facade mounting time and no scaffolding is required. Unitised facades can provide higher quality than equivalent facade solutions, as quality monitoring is carried out under factory-controlled conditions.
The total area of the unitised facade was 5350 square meters or 572 elements.
