| 26. 08. 2014 | Sworn advocate Zane Saulīte has obtained rights to practice as advocate in the Federal Republic of Germany (Rechtsanwältin).

There are not so many Latvian sworn advocates who have passed the advocacy exam in Germany, the Latvian Council of Sworn Advocates has registered only two persons and one of them is Zane Saulīte - legal consultant of UPB.

Zane acquired the basics of the German law completing 2 year study programme "European and German Law" at the Humboldt University in Berlin, graduating with "magna cum laude" (very good). The successful cooperation with UPB ensuring legal expertise in various energy and façade construction processes in Germany encouraged Zane to continue studying in Frankfurt for a year to obtain the status of advocate in Germany (Rechtsanwalt).

In March 2014 Zane passed the professional qualification exam of German advocacy at the common examination institution of Berlin and Brandenburg federal states and in the beginning of August she received a confirmation from the Chamber of Advocates of Berlin on registration as the German advocate. As Rechtsanwältin Zane is entitled to represent clients at the German courts.

As to her future plans, Zane said: My goal is to specialize in the German construction law and after extensive practice in this sphere obtain title „Fachanwalt für Bau- und Architektenrecht” or advocate - specialist in construction and architecture law.

UPB would like to greet its cooperation partner with the new status and wish success in fulfilling her future plans.
