| 01. 08. 2011 | UPB Holding is between 77 finalists in European Business Awards 2011 Import/Export category

There are 10 more finalists from different countries in European Business Awards 2011 (EBA) Import/Export category.

In the final are also such well known companies as Pirelli, RTL, DHL, IKEA in Italy, and other.

Form Latvia in final got one more company Maxima Latvia (The Award for Customer Focus category).

Next European Business Awards step for UPB is live presentation, which will take place on September 14 in HSBC Bank premises in London.

UPB is also invited to the awards gala ceremony on 22 November in Barcelona, the Palau de Congress de Catalunya, Hotel Rey Juan Carlos.

UPB successfully participated in the first selection round of the competition “European Business Awards 2011” and among 15,000 applicants entered the semifinal. EBA is an independent Awards programme designed to recognise and promote excellence, best practice and innovation in the European business community, in line with the broad aims of the European Union and business representative groups across the member states.

In the semifinal of the competition were chosen 10 companies from Latvian, the total amount of semifinalists is 220 companies from all over Europe. Over the past five years the Awards have become the premier business platform across Europe, in 2011 there are participating companies from 30 countries. EBA participants are judged in 10 categories.

EBA is supported by a 40 strong European Judging and Advisory Panel including leading politicians, academics, media owners and business luminaries. They receive no personal or financial benefit from their participation in the awards but share in a mutual desire to see the European Commercial Community thrive and lead the way in global economic development.
