| 19. 04. 2007 | In the first quarter of the year 2007, UPB holding’s turnover increased by 50%
Having launched an active operation in Scandinavia, UPB holding’s turnover saw increase by 50% in the first quarter of the year 2007 and made up 21% of all exports. This year, nine million Latvian lats’ worth investments are planned for the construction of new production units, modernisation of existing ones and the increase of the amounts of exports. For now, Scandinavian countries are the largest export market for all UPB structures - Norway, Iceland, Sweden, Denmark, which account for the largest share of sales of glass, aluminium façade structures, prefabricated concrete, steel structures and ALCOM (aluminium&wood glass structures) manufactured by the holding’s companies. In the coming years, the holding’s management hopes for a substantial share of the market in other countries of the European Union, not excluding an opportunity to sell high added value products also beyond the EU.
On 26 April 2006, the UPB holding celebrates its 16th anniversary.
