In the store section of Vīna Studija there is a selection of 500 wines from all over the world available for purchase to take away or to be opened and enjoyed in the bar section. Wines, at this stage unavailable elsewhere in Latvia, for the assortment of the wine studio are specially selected among wines of Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, France, Spain, New Zealand, Australia, Chile, South Africa, Israel, Argentina, USA, Hungary and other countries. Furthermore, the store section offers different wine accessories, books, sets of presents, gift cards and wine glasses.
In the bar section, one can enjoy a glass of excellent wine paired with matching snacks, in a free and easy atmosphere, sit down for a while leaving behind the rush and crush of a working day, leafing through a newspaper or meeting a friend.
Vīna Studija is planning to run on regular basis special offers, discount programs and tasting events of wines in the store and in the bar section, such as, for instance, a shelf of wines recommended by famous and popular people; a discount tasting of wines in the bar at certain happy hours every Sunday (between 12:00 and 14:00 at a half price); every receipt from the bar entitles the customer to a 10% discount in the wine store etc.
From 15 September, Wine School will be opened providing wine education classes on Monday evenings (in Latvian) and Tuesday evenings (in Russian). Under the guidance of Guntis Bērziņš, the founder and the member of Latvian Association of Sommeliers, the author of the book ABC of the Bar and many professional articles and publications on different aspects of wine, the students will be able to obtain their wine education crowned with an official certificate of completion from Vīna Studija. The recruitment of the study groups is underway as the online applications can be submitted through the website www.vinastudija.lv.
The are preparations are going on to open the e-store of Vīna Studija, which will start operation as from November, this year selling on-line with deliveries to the customers’ homes.
The interior designer of Vīna Studija is the young architects Mārtiņš Pīlēns, in cooperation with Niklāvs Paegle (both from the company SIA 1plus1 studija).
