In 2016, UPB holding reached a consolidated net turnover of 147 million euros. The significant increase from the previous reporting period was due to the solid growth in both: the export and Latvian markets, the implementation of technically more complex projects, the development of new products, and the synergy between the holding’s many business groups.

Award in category “Engineer of the Year” was awarded to Zigis Ostelis, building structure engineer, deputy head of metal structure engineer unit at UPB, while the award in category “Junior Engineer of the Year” was given to Edgars Zelcs, building structure engineer, deputy head of Riga Construction Engineer Unit of UPB. Both engineers were also given the Public sympathy award the fate of which was determined via a public vote. Read more

UPB and its subsidiaries together comprise one of the leading Latvian industrial holdings. The key lines of business of the UPB holding are design, production, supply and assembly of building structures, building contractor activities, trade and servicing. The largest product groups include glass, steel and concrete structures, as well as cogeneration (CHP) stations and mechanical engineering solutions. The UPB holding comprises companies operating in Latvia, Sweden, United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Iceland, Denmark, Norway and Belarus.
